jurisdiction for F.I.R

say a company has corporate office at location A ,

offence occurs af Location B, where company has its branch operations.

where can a F.I.R be filed Location A or Location B.

here company is keen on filing the F.I.R at LOcation A

FIR has to be filed within the jurisdiction of police station where the offence has occured. Here in this case, it is to be filed in place B.

in your case complaint can be lodged only at  'B'

 in general complaint is to be filed within the local limit of the police station - so, on information posted by you, it has to be filed at place B, however in case of defamation , it can be filed at other place also, for which facts of the crime is require
