Litigation expenses

Hi,

I have divorece and maintnenace case(125) going on ,& on the second date for 125 court ordered me to pay 11,000 as litigation expenses.My counsel yes we have to have however I attended both dates,took summons and case is just started,so why should I pay this.Second is it applicable for all cases and applicable to only criminal cases.

Also,when I am paying fees to my lawyer,wifes is paying to hers,and for judge-goverment is paying.So why need to pay.

It is procdeure u need to pay it.

Dear Manish,

                    Wife is entitled to claim maintenance and litigation expenses. Court has got discretionary power to consider litigation expenses as per the pleadings, applications and documents submitted in each case. If the Hon'ble court has passed an order of litigation expenses, you have to comply the court order.
