Maintenance for Children

Dear Sir/Madam,

my mother and father got legally mutual divorced in year 2009.  we all three children are staying with mother since 2008 when our father left us.  after filing maintenance for children by our mother, my father atlast given the compensation towards one time maintenance for all of us by transfer of one of his property costing Rs. 24 lacs last year i.e. in 2009.  He given this one time maintenance after the court ordered him to pay Rs. 30000/- per month for 3 children due to hiding facts from court otherwise he didn't want to pay a single penny. we are the family of four (two daughters(age 18 & 16) and one son-12yrs).  I have now become 18 years i just want to know can i claim any kind of maintenance on behalf of mine or others from my father who is having so many properties.

please guide as we don't want to leave him to enjoy his life after making our life worst.

thanx n regards

Whether the criminal miscelleneous case which was filed by your mother was compromised?  Whether the house was given in lieu of maintenance etc., to be known.

What is your income source now?

If you don't have income source then you can claim the maintenance from your father.

Sir,

thank u very much for ur reply. my mother only filed a case of maintenance only on behalf of the children and not for herself as she is employed. and the house was transfered on the basis of wholesole maintenance stating that neither my mom nor the children would claim any maintenance from him.

pls advise

thanx
