Sir,
I am willing to open a school for that purpose I am taking a house on rent, The land lord is insisting on putting the word on the purpose of usage and not just "educational" which I want.
I will be highly obliged if some one please enlighten me on the true meaning of the word "residencial-cum-educational".

generally educational institues/societies comes to commercial wing. And for commerical wing/complex/flat, the rent will be more than the residential wing/complex/flat and attracts stamp duty accordingly. Hence the ownerss of the property do not mention for commercial wing.
