NCT of delhi - Criminal justice system

Hi all,

can anyone tell me as to who is in charge of administration of criminal justice in the National Capital Territory of Delhi ?

as per my understanding, Delhi is directly under the control of Home ministry of the Union Government. but in case of a crime, who is authorised to prosecute the accused ? is it the NCT of Delhi Government or the Union Home ministry ?

Please also let me know, in case an investigation is being conducted by the Union Home ministry, whether the govt of NCT has got any rights to appeal against the decision of the trial court to the High court ?

Sir,

In my opinion,

Delhi Police is only agency in Delhi to maintain law and order, which is under Home Ministry of Union of India.  Delhi Police or CBI are only authorise to prosecute the accused.

Delhi Government has no right to appeal in higher court in criminal cases against accused persons, only Delhi Police or CBI (which is also under Home Ministry) are authorised for the same.
