The Maharashtra Public Trusts Act (MPT Act) of 1950 requires that any changes to the Charity Commissioner's register's Schedule I be reported within 90 days. The report must include: A change report form, Relevant documentary evidence, A court fee stamp of ₹100, and Verification in the prescribed manner.

The Charity Commissioner's office may also require a Memorandum of Change in Form Schedule IIIA if the change involves immovable property. The MPT Act also covers changing the objects of a trust and amalgamating trusts
