RUA and License Agreement

Hi

Please tell me the difference between "Regsitered User Agreement" and "License Agreement"?

We have applied recently for Trademark registration and to give to other comapny, right to use said mark, should we enter into "RUA" or "License Agreement"?

There is no much difference between the two.  The two "Regsitered User Agreement", "License Agreement" share the same similarities.

Mr. Suman

As per your query we gathered that

1. you are just authorising another Company to use the Trade  mark under permitted purpose for specific period

2. but you are retaining the ownership of the trade mark. after compleation of the period they have to reconvey the said to your company

In such circumstances you may go for Trade Mrak licensing agreement. Licensing is a one of the channels for authorized use of another’s trade mark such rights, which is granted by the owner of theTrademark to the authorized user,
