Seek help for maintenance

Dear Sir,

My sis was married to an indian man who works in london, uk and after marriage, she went to london and stayed with
him for an year. During that period he acted violently with her and beat her profoundly due to which london police was called off and he was kep in custody for one night and was only released on the request of my sis.After that incident he kept luring my sis to come back to india and somehow convinved her on false pretext. when they came back to india, he filed a divorce case in family court due to which she is totally devasted.He is claiming he earned 5 Lakh annualy. he is a senior process engineer in an  oil and gas company of UK and may be earning atleast 6 to 7 lakhs a month. We are finding it really very difficult to trace out his finances so that a comparable maintenance can be claimed for the deceased. Also we do not want divorce and perhaps are interested to settle the matter but he seems to be in no mood. I have also contacted uk embassy in mumbai but they choose to abstain. I hv also approached Ministry to external affairs to seek info from High commissisonof india, london office but am not very sure about the  results. can u please guide how can we trace his finances to claim maintenance, if he does'nt agree to stay together.

Regards.

As Legal Fighter rightly said go for amicable settlement. Why don't you as a sister along with your parents take an extra step to save her marriage since you do not want divorce and want settlement. If my sister was in this position I would have done evrything in the world to save this. I wish that your sister's marriage is saved. I do not understand why are there marital problems. I am trying to save mine marriage too as relations have been so turbulent that things are in process of divorce.My sympathy is with you and hope you get resolved all the differences and both your sister and her hubby live happily thereafter. If things have not gone orce my one cent of advise is GO FOR RELATIONSHIP Counseling if you can't settle things.

@Above

She is interested in saving her marriage. You are talking about mutual consent leading to separation ?

Experts here kindly advise as how this marriage can be saved. I think wife loves her husband but her husband is not contactable since she says he is in no mood.

Appeal to the experts to reply for 2 of her questions.

1. How these two souls can re-unite......?

2..But she is also asking 4 comparable maintenance based on hubbys earnings ?

I would be happy if atleast one marriage is saved by contribution of EXPERTS in this Forum.....

Thanks & Regards

How far it is true that he behaved in such a way that she has to call the police... If it is not for a genuine cause he might have hurted a lot and afraid of things will happen in the same way again in UK... no person who is highly qualified and at high level want to be in PS for matrimonial ego clashes....

In this case the girl side is not dedicatedly trying to save the marriage... they are trying to extract his earnings...  You will not loose any thing if you say  SORRY to him for which that has happened which made to him to be in an abroad jail in one day.... give him confidence that that will not happen again.... every educated person working in abroad scare of these junk cases which will ruin their career which was built with hard word and dedidcation...

If marriage cann't be saved ... go for mutual divorce and I'm damn sure he will come forward and give you lumpusum amount as you are running behind the money...
