1. There is no Time Limit in ANY court /forum in India. ALL of them are over-burdened with work and short staff.

Although there is no time limit herein, However, if the time period becomes unreasonable, you can file a petition in the court as there may be a possibility of the matter being time-barred which shall create problems for you in the future.

Dear Shreya Saxena,
Can you please guide which petition to be filed before which authority, whether to the same District Consumer Forumm or State Consumer Forum (being Superior) or before the Civil or Crimianl Court.
Your suggestion would help the petitioner to get relieve soon, as you can understand a middle class person arranged for such huge corpus for his dream house and still bound to reside in rented house by incurring extra Rental Cost and Interest on borrowed funds.
