What are the facts? What is the context?
Anyhow, you can seek the information under the RTI Act.
Sir , Suppose a student in his college days took scholarship from Social Welfare Department through mentioning his income less in income certificate by suppressing facts & if later in his life if this thing was found out on someone's complaint & the student returns the money back with interest to the department.
Then can the FIR if registered u/s 468 be compounded & Quashed ?
And if that student is working in a Government job , will there be any trouble on his job too ?

The retention period for records related to Domicile and Caste Certificates issued by the Revenue department can vary. As per the Indian Evidence Act, documents like these may need to be preserved for a reasonable period, particularly considering their legal significance. Certain states might have their own statutes or rules specifying retention periods, often aligning with the state's document retention policies.
While there might not be a uniform duration specified in law, it's advisable to inquire directly with the concerned Revenue department or refer to any state-specific regulations or notifications for the exact retention period of these certificates as it can vary based on state laws and administrative policies.
