Same gotra is no hindrance to marriage legally but to save the future generation it is scientifically advisable to avoid marriage in same ' Gotra'.

Generally Mama of the girl do Kanyadan in such cases if the marriage is unavoidable. There is no legal hurdle. You may explore the possibility for kanyadan from mama if our mother agree to it.
However, traditionally such marriage is avoided.

There is no legal restriction on the marriage between sagothra pair as advised by expert Shri Barman. Regarding the possibility of marriage between both of you, you have to convince the resisting parties and chalk out modalities if you are so interested in the marriage. Though there is no legal restriction, as per the customs of Hindu religion, people will not agree. Same gothra indicates the descending clan and such marriages may lead into begetting the children with disformalities. However, there customs in certain communities that sister's daughter can be married.
As you are indicating that you are from an orthodox family, it is for you to either to convince the resisting parties or to give up the idea.

Legally there is no restriction to marry the girl belonging to same sect of the caste, however you appear to be more worried about your grandfather's property than the love you have for your girl. You are matured person, decide about what to choose, whether your love for the girl or desire for the property.
