About harassment by owner

I take a room for rent in Delhi last month, there is no written or oral agreement between landlord and us. After 25 days I tell the owner to left the room due to outstation shifting, he misbehave and abuse with me and said to pay 1 month rent. But owner not told me in starting about notice period. He tell me that I would lodge fake complain against you in police if you not pay 1 month rent. Can I compalin regarding this and where

Why not, you can try your luck, if the police accepts your complaint. But, you should also be ready to face counter report with some serious charge ahainst you by the landlord to make you attend the darbaar of police for several times, if even a case is not filed in a court of law.

Better try to settle amicably.
