affect on pension if retiring from an upgraded post.

(Querist) 03 April 2015 This query is : Resolved
One was promoted twice in his service by upgrading the post he was holding. In the order upgradation of the post it was mentioned that the post has been upgraded for the incumbent and it will be reverted back to its original post as soon the incumbent leaves the post. The incumbent is going to retire very soon and there is a perseption that the incumbent will be shown to have retire for the origional post where the post will reverted. My querry is, whether it is so and whether it will have any effect on his pension calculation and future pension benefits.

Dear Surjit,

It seems to be an academic query.

So, not for "ONE", state your own problem, if you have any. If you have some confusion that being the matter being dealt with by you in your official position, better consult your superiors, the PAO or the pension sanctioning authority.

Mr. Surjit Singh,

Without appropriate background of the case and contradictory statement contained in your query, your story becomes unbelievable. When you say, "in the order upgradation of the post it was mentioned that the post has been upgraded for the incumbent and it will be reverted back to its original post as soon the incumbent leaves the post," the following questions arise:

1) What was the reason for upgradation of post just to promote the incumbent?

2) On what ground the incumbent is expected to leave the post?

3) When the incumbent retires from that upgraded post, where remains the question of his reversion back to its original post?

So, besides the background of the case, the order of promotion is also required to be got checked from some expert. The incumbent or you may contac in person to provide complete details of the case and get advice.

without complete facts you are not likely to get correct reply.

please reply the points raised by Mr Dhingra. Without this information your query is vague and not capable of being understood.

I reiterate

"state facts if problem is real"

Reply to mr djingra. 1) The post was upgraded because in that particular district office the post to which he was to be next propromoted was transferred to some other office as at that time he was not eligible for next promotion. 2) & 3) The incumbent is going to attain his supernuation after one year and the post was upgraded to the post of Liasion Officer, which is a totally different cadre post to the cadre the incumbent was working. My simple query is since the upgraded post to which the incumbent was working on officiating basis for long eight years and the post was borrowed from different cadre from office of different district what post he will be shown to have retired in his pension book at time of retirement and and adverse effect on his pension money.

Mr. Surjit Singh,

Nothing would affect his pension, as pension and gratuity are based on the emoluments drawn by the incumbent in whatever capacity or on which post he would have been made to work. However, in his pension book, only his cadre status in lin of promotion would be shown, may or may not there be a mention of the post on which he officiated last on the date of his superannuation.
