Suhail suhail (Expert) 19 July 2011
If the award is passed under the Arb.&Con.Act 1996,there is no right of appeal to challenge the award, however under Sec-34,the award can be objected,(layman's language can call it appeal);the time period for objecting the award is three months from the date of its publication, however one month of further time period is in Act to be taken as condonation of delay,;but if the award is not objected within the provided time period, the award becomes absolute and cannot be objected there after.
