Dear Sir/Mam
I am trying to challenge an Arbitration Award to prove it a nullity...
First of all everything was done ex-parte....
Main question is : Is it compulsory that arbitration award should be registered?????
An award made on a stamp paper of Rs. 100/500 & value of award Rs. 8 lakhs......
Can such awards be filed in executing court without registering the award......
Thankyou

It need not be registered.
If 90 days expired since the date of award, you can no more challenge it..
Otherwise go for challenge u/s 34 of the Act in the court of Dist Judge within whose jurisdiction the arbitration proceeding was held.

it is not necessary award should be registered . you have stated that award was made expaerte . were you serve notice of arbitaration proceedings . if you have not been served and award passed exparte then you have a case for challenging the award .
