I have submitted copy of police complaints and statement given by opposite party which I had got through rti,but opposite party objected saying it cannot be exhibited as the copy are not properly certified( stamp of police station but no true copy stamp). I asked for another certified copy but the concerned police station is saying they distroyed the record as it was old.
How am I suppose to prove the complaint copy further ,also can summoning the concerned PIO when the document record are distroyed help me to prove the documents?

Yes certified copy of police complaint and statements recorded by police authorities are public documents u/ s 74 of Evidence Act and are admissible in evidence and can be exhibited. certified copies obtained under the RTI Act would be treated as original .

Sir ,if the opposite party is not admitting the complaint even during cross examination ,so do I need to prove it further if the complaint are not exhibited at evidence stage ?

Opposite parties counsel will certainly raise objections in regards to the documents but you have to prove the documents by cogent evidence.you may summon concern PIO who can prove certification of documents.
