If somebody jumps Bail, how does it affect the Person giving Surety. Will he be harrassed ??

Yes the amount fixed during giving bail bond would be taken from the surety.

I am posting bail for my friend. We all trust our friends and try to help them. But one dosen't know the future. Hoever, as a precautionary measure I want to know whether I will be harassed by the officials if they are unable to trace my friend, if he jumps bail or anything adverse happens. In that case, I will not become the surety.

DON'T WORRY. IF YOU trust your friend,and if you feel your friend not done any crime then no problem for giving surity. Depends on the nature of the offence, and if your friend is escaped then you will face problem.

If your friend is not traceable. Court will issue notice to you to produce him before court. You may ask time to produce him.
If you fail, proceeding under 446 Cr.P.C shall be started and surety bond may be confiscated and surety amount may be recovered from you.
Court may show leniency regarding amount to be recovered, if you prove that you have made enough effort to search him and there is no fault on the part of you.
