The original plot owner had passed away in 1993 and before his death he had given his property for development to a builder. The builder by 1992 sold all the flats and now in 2009 he has gone ahead and sold the Common terrace can he do it secondly does the Power Of Attorney given to the builder still exist in 2009 when the owner of the plot has passed away in 1993.

Dear Sir,

We bought an agri land from X who had power of atterny from Y.While we register the land Y was expired and we had been hidden by X and we are not aware at that time. All documents are very clear in our name ie patta passbook land tax receipt and Electricity name transfer etc.

Now the issue is nuisance of neighbour Z.As the Z is making nuisance to us we approached Session court and got an Injuction order to use the land upto the final judgement of this case.

Could any one advise please on this power of atterny issue.

But the Z party's full time bussiness is encroaching other's land and cheating only.He is using nearky 10 acres but he has haly acres only in his name.Because of village peoples iliterate, continously he is doing this problems on the innocent village people.

We appreciate and thanks the advise.

Elections In India (Center as well as State)

What are the detailed aspects concerning the Elections in India ? ie. Who pays for the expenses for the center as well as the state elections which do occur of and on just due to the politics and for their benefits ?

Why should the people who pay the tax be victims of the politicians to pay for the same, through taxes, etc. ?

Who decides about the expenses ? and by whom are they made up ?

The above mentioned questions are being asked by Adv. Terrance, who is available at ad.terrance@gmail.com

Listing of advocate as a director in a commercial firm

I have recently been enrolled with Bar Council of W.B.Prior to that I was working as a Manger in a pharmaceutical company. Now when I have enrolled my self as a lawyer,I am perhaps not eligible to work in the firm as a Manager. The company however does not want me to leave it and so I have been offered the post of a Director on the Board of Directors with the responsibilities of a legal advisor/solicitor.They will be paying me for the same. My question is whether can I accept the post of Director in the company and if so can it be considered as a misconduct by the bar council. Kindly guide. This is very urgent. adil

Is Stridhana property considered as shared property

Hi,

We are Hindus belongs to Karnataka. My father gifted a property(site)to his sister as Stridhana(In deed it is mentioned as "Stridhanakkagi"). At that time, my grand father was deceased and all the properties were transferred to my father by surviorship. This is gifted in 1980s. Now, in 2007, my father's sister is (filed a case) asking for equal share in our property. Does she has rights to claim share in our property? Does the gifted Stridhana property has any considaration? If in case she has rights, to what extent this stridhana property is considered to division of property.
