Vague query.
The employees of railway are being provided with some facilities, which can not override the bonafide passenger's right.
Advocate. Arunagiri (Expert) 20 May 2016
Railway employees who are having travel passes are exempted from paying the reservation charges even if they book reserved tickets. So, in case of vacancy in the reserved coaches, they can occupy it.

Normaly the railway employees on duty will travel for short distance (ie) from their place of work to their residence. As they occupy only vacant seats this is not at all a problem.

1) i have booked ticket n reserve seat in railway from pune to mumbai.
2) During travel I found that some people without reservation seat near to me.
3) They started to smoke in train due to smoke I told them to go in other place.
4) When i ased them to show me ur ticket since it is reservation bogy .They argued that we were railway employee can seat there without ticket reservation.
5) Question whether railway employee can seat without any reservation?
If No what is punishment to them.
Thanks

you could have pulled chain then and there so that guard comes with GRP.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 21 May 2016
Did you lodge formal complaint with GRP/ Railways/local police/consumer forum/ any other authority, if you did not pull the chain?
If yes, follow it up otherwise do not crib and close this thread as well as chapter. No point in dragging it unnecessary.
P. Venu (Expert) 21 May 2016
The Railways would have certainly took action had you taken the pains to lodge a complaint.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 22 May 2016
Railway is having one of the strongest vigilance organisation. If you would have called guard by pulling chain the loss of job (atleast serious dent on career) for the TTE was almost certain

But probably you have lost chance and do not even know the identity.

you can still make complaint to the CVO of the Railways.
