I am a govt office in punjab, my branch recent ELECTRIC bill rs410000/- of PSPCL
whille inquiry made from pspcl they said earlier 2phase meter bill was wrongly charged on the basis of average reading wrongly by meter reader so they give 45000unit arear bill
our ex manager ask them to made 10 installmetns of this bill they made 5 from which 1st with 25% of bill amt n remaing with equal amt
know we want to suit a file AGAINST pspcl for
wrong bill given by them earlier(average basis)
so kindly guide can we file a suit against pspcl in consumer court or in civil court

Has PSPCL charged any penal charge while allowing installments?
Your counsel may opine to approach DCDRF.

better consult your own law deptt as without their views you cannot file/defend any case.

Being a Govt. Department, it is doubtful, you, at your level, can take decision to file case against other government department. Refer the matter to higher authorities with your recommendations to decide line of action at their level.
Electric companies generally play such tactics against common man, can be seen in news items, not sparing even government department this time is strange.

The competent authority of you department can make a statutory representation to the designated officer of the PSPCL.
