My birth certificate was issued by Trivandrum corporation. Since the hospital is not maintaining any record before 1979 the hospital authorities issue a certificate mentioning the same to be produced before the corporation. Based on that the corporation issued a Birth certificate from its own records made from earlier hospital records. In those records, the extensions of my father's name (kutty)and mother's name (Devi) is missing. What is the procedure to add them and set the records right
Thanks in advance

But in the Hospital records as maintained by the Corporation, the names are without extensions. So the corp.authorities are hesitant to change in the certificate alone..

The Corporation cannot be expected to change their records. Based on the available certificate file an affidavit that the certificate belongs to so and so... son/ daughter of so and so... etc.... and solve ur problem.

It seems only the extensions are missing. Yet you can use this certificate.
For more details, give the exact names of your parents, and what is there written in the certificate.

Hospitals do mess up things. A government servent who had concession to treat his father free of charge in hospitals. In hospital the father died. Death certificate indicated the dead man is a destitude care of his son and sent to corporation.
Better not to take hospital record for anything.
You can get details through someother source
