Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 15 December 2009 This query is : Resolved
Sir, unfortunately our relatives made a mistake in my child's date of birth certificate. At present my child has 3 years old. So, I want to change the father's name in my child's date of birth certificate. Regarding this would you please suggest me the solution... here are I am mentioning the details in my child's birth certificate:

Father's Name: A. Rajasekar
Mother's Name: A. Swapna

I want to change these as,

Father's Name: S.Anjaneyulu

You can file an application before the registrar of births to make a necessary correction in the birth certificate by giving the details, if they denied then you will have to file a suit for declaration and injunction, before filing the suit you will have to issue notice to Govt.,(name of the state) rep., by Deputy Commissioner and registrar of births u/s 80 of c.p.c. by giving 60 days time to make the rectification

You are advised hereby submit application with affidavit attestted by Notary to your concerned Municipal Office. They will rectify .

If both the names are of you then you have to submit accordingly and if the name appearing in the certificate is entirely another and do no belong to you then also it creates a doubt whether the added/substituted name is of the same person or of another person so you clear all this mistake in detail and prove your paternity to such child with convincing evidence first to the MC authorities and lastly with civil court.
