I gave a written complaint against some persons that were threatening me. After much dilly dallying an FIR was registered. About 5 months after registration of FIR the Chargesheet was completed and passed by Public Prosecutors and the accused persons got interim bail. The accused persons got interim bail 1 month ago but till date the police still have not filed the Chargesheet in the concerned Court. At every step the police has tried to help the accused due to political interference. I have been to see many officers, have filed complaints, and RTIs. My question is how do I get the police to file the Chargesheet? Should I approach the local Court or High Court or is their another way? Thank you for your assistance.

It s too early to submit charge sheet. Wait for some time After 4-5 months you may seek direction upon the court for submission of charge sheet.

Sir so I should ask lower Court to instruct police? Police took over 3 months to take first statement.

Dear Kulwinder
No one can pressurized to file Chargesheet before the court, after completing the investigation the IO will file the Chargesheet before the court.

You should file an application before lower court and get status report of the case or file An RTI application and ask that the investigation is complete or not?
