Claim on mother's ancestral property

can a person claim on the mothers inherited property even if the mother does not want to share it with the son being under bad influence?

Such mother can renounce her all relations and can debar such son to inherit such property.

Yes. Under Hindu succession act sec 14 she is absolute owner of her property either ancestral, She has right to dispose as her own will.

when the property comes to the hand of a lady she becomes the absolute owner of that property whether it comes by inheritance or by purchase she is the absolute owner and no body can claim in that
