Dear Sir/Madam,
I placed an order to "Naidhya Boutique" situated in Powai in september 2013 for designing 2 dresses for the occasion of my marriage in Nov'2013.The committed delivery for both the dresses was mid october 2013.The total amount for both the dresses was Rs.60,000 and i was asked to give an advance payment of Rs.30,000 at the time of order.I made the said advance payment.I didnt get the dresses made in time, infact after making repeated calls got one of the dresses after my marriage in the month of december. The dress which was sent to me was not as per my order so i sent it back to the boutique for giving me the dress as per my order. The concerned person whom i have been communicating was Naina from the boutique. There was no reply from Naina's side for many days and she always used to disconnect my calls because of which i had to repeatedly visit her boutique for which i had to spend a lot. After experiencing this ignorant behaviour of hers i asked her to make just one dress out of the two since she had an advance amount of Rs.30,000.She said that the dress she initially sent can't be altered so i should choose a different dress from the catalogue .I chose another dress to be made of the same amount to be recovered. She was supposed to design that dress before 31st dec 2013 for me but there was no response from her side regarding the same.On failure of delivery from her side i requested her to refund the advance amount of Rs.30,000.She refused to give me the amount and the desired dress.I have been suffering since september 2013 and have wasted a lot of money in commuting and making calls.Plus the trauma i faced at the time of my marriage for not getting the ordered dress for the function. This incidence has made me suffered both financially and emotionally. So iwish to request a claim of compensation along with the original recovery amount of Rs.30,000.Please guide me with the procedure to launch a complaint in the consumer forum and what best can be done to recover this amount.Email id: swati.satsangi@ymail.com.Looking forward for your reply.Thankyou.

Engage an advocate, He will do everything.
If you wish to do this on your own then talk to the consumer forum officials, They will make you understand the whole procedure.

You can file a consumer complaint. Send legal notice to the boutique and if no response file consumer complaint.
You can search web of contact office of the consumer forum for procedure.
Better engage a Lawyer to look after your interest.

I agree with the experts opinion. Send a legal notice first demanding the said compensation and the advance paid amount, if there is no response, the query what you have stated here itself may be elaborated and converted into a complaint to be filed before a consumer forum, utilise the opportunity or engage the services of a lawyer.
