after deth of a person how his son can become a consumer of electicity department without transfer the connection?consumer court wants ruling.riven

Please refer sec. 2(1) (d) of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.
For the purpose of "services", a "consumer" means a person belonging to the following categories:
(i) One who hires or avails of any service or services for a consideration which has been paid or promised or partly paid and partly promised or under any system of deferred payment
(ii) It includes any beneficiary of such service other than the one who actually hires or avails of the service for consideration and such services are availed with the approval of such person.
You can state that your client is a beneficiary as such he also comes under the purview of consumer.riven

Apart from aforementioned definition of Services as defined under Consumer Disputes Act, 1986, automatically after the death of a person his all properties and liabilities vest in his legal heirs and one who consume any service is liable to pay its cost. law is nothing but a common sense. No specific ruling is required to clear this matter.riven

but sir state fourm of uttarpradesh has deceided a case of electricity matter in that case after dath of father without transfer of connection how son is consumer?
because eletricity act's defnition of consumer there legal heirs are not comes.riven

who so ever consumes the service is consumer and after death of his father a son residing in that house and consuming electricity is definitely a consumer under consumer protection act and if any judgment has been delievered against this, the same is erroneous and challenge it before NC.riven
