on &th july 2013 I bought a discount card, offering 9 services of a reputed salon for Rs.1000, from some agent. The card was valid for 1 year from the date of issuance which means the validity of my card ends on 7th july 2013. In december I availed two services(through prior appointment). Now I called them again today 16th march 2013 to book an appointment for monday only to hear that they no longer entertain the card. The owner of salon says that they never issued any card and in fact it was some was some fraud advertising company which was selling the cards in their name and that they even filed an FIR against them. But when i asked that how did they provide services previously if the cards were not issued by them, he said that it was only on humanitarian grounds and they didn't want their customers(who had purchased the card) to suffer.I even asked him that did they caution their customers through newspapers etc. not to buy such cards. he simply said No.I still have seven services left and i don't know what to do.

IF YOU HAVE PROOF OF AVAILING TWO SERVICES THEN ISSUE NOTICE TO THEM AND FILE COMPLAINT BEFORE CONSUMER FORUM.

yes I do have proof. they have signed next to the service I availed. But the point is that they are saying that are not liable since they didn't issue the cards. Moreover they have closed their salon now. But the owner still runs another branch of the salon at a different location.
