please note that i am going through a contested divorce since the last 2 years where i have filed the divorce against my husband without levying any cases against him.
i have a reconciliation date next month. please advise what would happen at such. what if my husband does not turn up on that date? what can my husband do more to extend and delay this case?
he has been delaying the case by not appearing on dates sometimes..can he do it this time too? what are teh next procedures to be followed? and after the reconcilisation date how long does it take for the divorce to end? what are the clause involved in this?

counsellor will submit report that counselling has failed . draw attention of fact that your husband has been remaining absent on number of dates . request counselor to submit report .
contested divorce may take years dependiing upon backlog of cases

If conciliation is failed, the case shall be decided on merits and as 2 years have already expired, I think the case might be fixed for your evidence and after closure of your evidence, your husband shall get chance for the same proceeding and then case shall be heard and decided.

In the event of failure of any consensus between you both during mediation, the case may either revert to the regular court for further proceedings as per law of the respondent will be given another last chance for reconciling his side efforts, you may have to wait, what is the reason for not being reconciled, if the matter is not very serious, why not make an attempt to save the marriage (?).
