Our society does not have a conveyance deed and Occupation Certificate, 1. Would like to know if both are independent of each other or OC is compulsary before making an application or Conveyance deed. 2. Where does the society apply for Conveyance deed 3. Our land is on 999 years lease, with a CHS formed by a group of members. However our owner has now expired, can we obtain deemed conveyance

OC and Conveyance are two separate documents, OC is issued by the Municipal authorities after the building is erected in conformation to submitted plans. Conveyance is a transfer of ownership document issued by the owner/builder of the property. In case of a leasehold property Deed of Transfer is executed instead of Conveyance. Legal heirs of the owner can grant Conveyance.

Thanks a lot for the revert Mr. Kishore Mehta and Mr.P Venu. 1. Will try for OC process with assistance from some architect, have aready started work on war front now, our society has been occupied in 2004, and Builder has not done theOC and seems most unwilling to do it. Now we are struggling with max 11 members(3 are owner related flats where there seems to be a family dispute with 9 heirs and the owner has expired in July 2018)
There are about 9/10 members in the area who had got together and formed a society, the property as been leased to the society by individual owners. The individual plots have been given to separte builders for construction. There are 2 buildings of the lot who have obtained OC.
