sir/madam,
I surrendered my cc in the year mar 2005 and outstanding balance on that day was rs 39000 thousand i paid rs 60450 against my outstanding amount of rs 39000/- but still by forcing many charges continuously they made the amount 52000/- more to be paid over and above which i paid i,e 60450/- where as i have not used the card after 2005 and last amount as 39000/-. what should i do, i am getting notices from different lawers , what action can be initiated against me , please reply.

1)generally interest on credit cards are at 36%per annum
2)you should always make attempts to clear your outstanding bills .
in the event of your failure to make payment bank will levy you interest and outstanding keeps on mounting .

3)if you do not pay bank will file civil suit against you for recovery of outstanding dues .
4) approach the bank and try for one time settlement

If you have outstanding amount Rs.39000/-, why you have paid Rs.60450/-. You have to give date wise events, for getting a clear solution.

Better issue a Notice describing your grievances and requesting to stop their torture and informing that if any further claims made, you would be constrained to take civil and criminal actions in proper forum. Later if necessary, file complaint before consumer forum.
