Crime under 420 and 468 IPC

Hi , I just want to know that if someone committed a crime under the above mention section 10 yrs ago but the complainant get the knowlage about the same crime 2 months before the present date , complainent has the title in the sold property can he file the fir against them after so many years by proving that he got the knowlage of the fraud 2 months before..

limitation for filing criminal complaint is 3 years but in ur case u got the knowlege recently in that case u can file.

Dear Aman , You can now file FIR against accused persons . Limitation in your matter will starts from knoeledge of offence . Relevant Section 469(1)(B) Criminal procedure code . Moreover no limitation for filing a complaint necessary in S 420 , 468 IPC .

There is no time limit u/s 468 Cr.P.C. for an offence,which is having more imprisionment then 3 years.As section 420 of the I.P.C. is having an imprisionment upto 7 years,so the complaint of this section can be filed at any time.
