cs with BALLB from national law school

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 20 November 2010 This query is : Resolved
i am currently pursuing 3rd yr BALLB. I want to get a provisional degree of BA after completion of 3rd yr to join CS executive course directly. In my college there is no such provision. Is there any rule or regulation under BCI or UGC which says that a provisional degree can be issued after 3 yrs.
If yes please elaborate.

If I am not wrong, what you are pursuing is a 5 year integrated course. You will be completing the degree course only at the end of the 5 years. I do not think that there is any provision for giving you provisional degree in the middle. Provisional degrees normally get issued immediately after one clears the degree examination, prior to the issuance of the Final Degree Certificate, purely to help the candidate to secure job or pursue other avenues.

To put it straight and supplement Mr.Ramu's opinion, there are no provisions under UGC to grant a provisional degree during the currency of any course. Of course BCI clearly stipulates completion of three year B.L. Degree course to be eligible for licence to practice as an advocate.

thank you for your reply
But according to my knowledge traditional universities which offer integrated coure of 5 yrs BALLB do issue a BA degree to students on their request after completion of 3 yrs.
Is there anyway I can get it in my national law school. Only to save time in CS course.

Dear Anonymous,
You say traditional universities which offer integrated course of 5 year BALLB issue BA degree to studentson their requestafter completion of 3 years. If that be true, then your university should also issue, unless you are pursuing the course from a NON-TRADITIONAL university. Contract your university.

university it is permissible. i think, it may be permissible in your university also.

You better approach the authorities in the University of your study and get the same clarified. You can keep us also informed about the outcome since none of us is aware of the present system followed in the University. The opinions are given on the basis of mere surmises which is not good.
