are there any provisions in Indian Law about restrictions on encryption - are there some limitations to encryption - which bare acts and sections have this information?

Dear Anonymous, Before the query could be answered, please confirm whether Are you the same person who posted the following query? hello sir, what questions can be asked in a placement interview in cyber law?? also sir i did my BSc in microbiology and now pursuing LLB final year...i attended many seminars nd workshops during BSc time..so will the interviewrs ask me about those science things also..or just law??????

the government has not made any effort to define encryption in the Indian IT Act, but technically it clearly says that it is not allowed.. Read section 69 ,72 of the IT. Act with section 5(2) of the Telegraph Act and Article 19 of Indian Constitution. you will get some Idea of the same.
