I am not in the knowledge of any such case law dispensing with the respondent under the provisions of Domestic Violence Act.

there is no provision in the DV act for dispense the respondent, it is just like criminal miscellenous case u can remain absent whenever you are unable to attend the court but it is ur bounded duty to inform your advocate
