Defination of workmen

hello..

My client was working as an AREA MANAGER in a Ltd. firm

plz. suggest whether the AREA MANAGER comes under the defination of "workmen"

also plz suggest any judgment if any..

You may better discuss the problem, instead of making an academic query.

By the way, for what purpose, you want to know the definition of a workman?

However, as of a clue, be aware that an Area Manager is not a workman. For definition, you may better go through the related law books.

Discuss the matter in detail along with all relevant documents with a very able counsel specializing in Labor/Service matters.

This is altogether different field and there are few counsels that specialize in it.

Spend quality time with an able counsel and understand the remedies and merits.

Your counsel may opine that the designation is decorated one and said person is covered as 'Workman/Employee', and/or the said person is not covered.
