Who is liable to deduct the amount of Employee Provident Fund in the following persons and deposit to prescribe account of Employee provident fund

It mostly depends on the contract agreement entered between the parties concerned.

The Manager of Unit /Authority which is / the person who is paying wages to Employee, is under obligation to deduct the PF and to credit to the PF Account

It is the contractor who in the first instance is to comply with the PF regulations but it is the responsibilty of the principal employer that such social legtislation's benifits are made available to the labour. If the dispute arises the Principal employer shall be liable to paythe contributions.

Final responsibiltiy is with the principal Employer to Pay/ to get it paid by contractor/Establishment manager/person paying the Wages
