Discrimination and Role of Judiciary/Supreme Court

(Querist) 12 August 2010 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir,
I am of the opinion that the sc being at the top of Judiciary System, should take initiative to take cognizance of burning issues related to the mass as this mass can't be organised due to many constraints. Under these circumstances initiative taken by the sc shall not only give justice to the deprived but will also create general public in the the Indian Judiciary and the corners who are doing partial/malafied acts shall have to think in future and will not dare to repeat such acts minimising litigation. The recent example of discrimination is current wage revision in PSU Banks.
Please comment.

Dear Mr.Ashok Kumar Sharma,

Being proactive and adjudication on the basis of pleadings are two sides of same coin. These days the Apex Court is less proactive which is evident on the basis of statement of chief justice that henceforth PIL shall not be welcomed any more by Apex Court.
Best Regards
Daksh

Dear Sir,
As Mr. Daksh told that chief justice has given statement that henceforth PIL shall not be welcomed any more by Apex Court.

Is the statement not indicative that the Apex court is also following the so called "blind rule" or say that the court is denying its duties to the country/deprived peoples not working properly for the cause it is established?
