I am in defence service & married 8 months ago. The general behaviour of my wife(age-24) is not good. She does not know how to behave with someone. Or we can say she does not have common sense. Moreover, one day she told that "Mujhe to apno ne luta gairo me kaha dum tha." Then i got doubt. She told me after repeatedly asking by me that she was raped by her father 4 times in last 4 years before marriage and aborted 2 times also. Her mother & sister(married) only know about it. Now she is normal with her parents. But when i say anything to her she threats me that she will do suicide & attempted also. I am in extremely tense. My questions are: 1. Can i divorce her without maintenance? 2. What should be the ground? 3. How can i prove her rape if she refuses later? 4. Can her father be punished? Kindly advice me.

As per defence services rule the Armed forces will order you to give maitenence to ur wife and they decide the amount which is usually high. you can divorce her on the ground of menatl cruelty. its difficult to prove that she was raped. the matter is already delayed and it might be difficult to get her father punished. more over you can not divorce before 1 year of marriage

Sir, actually my wife loves me a lot and can do anything 4 me if i would not divorce her. But sometimes she becomes abnormal and then cannot understand me also. Now in case i could not divorce her can she get her share in her parents property?

Mr. if your wife loves you and if you willing to lead your life with her happily then why you are thinking about Divorce. If she is behave abnormal don't mistake take her to good psychologist. she can claim her share from her parents

agree with Mr Gowda, if she loves you, what about you ? If you do, you should try to get her problem resolved, may be due to such immense pressure and happenings in past she is reacting so. Try to stand by her if you do really love her, divorce is no solution.
