E1 transaction

(Querist) 22 September 2011 This query is : Resolved
I am working as account in a spinning mill located at Tirupur, Tamilnadu. We purchase fiber from A of Nagpur and sell to C of Mumbai by E1 transaction. But C instructs me to deliver the goods at D of coimbatore, tamilnadu. C is not selling to D. So no E2 transaction. C is asking to deliver to D for some conversion purpose. (job work).

My question is
1. Whom should I raise invoice?
2. If i am raising invoice to C, mumbai, then whose address should endorse in LR.
3. Can deliver the goods to d of coimbatore?
4. If can what are the important documents should go with the goods from Nagpur to coimbatore.
5. Should C has to give JJ?

As per your statements, C not the seller to D. You only going to hand over to D. so invoice should be in the name of D. but with in my understanding, D will pay to C. And C will pay you. Am i right? So its simple to deal that you delivering to D. On behalf of the D, C will pay to you.

You can continue the transaction as before. The only difference will be, instead of deliverying the goods at Mumbai(while the goods are in transit), you will be delivering the same at Coimbatore at the instance of the buyer at Mumbai by endorsing the LR to the Job worker (on a/c Mumbai party) and the Jobworker at Coimbatore will take delivery of the goods as an Agent of the Mumbai party.
However, Mumbai Party may have to take Form-F from the job worker for the goods received by the job worker. Otherwise, the Mumbai party would not be able to get the goods back after the j/w finishes the work. Once the goods are received from the j/w, the Mumbai party has to give the Form-F to the job worker.

Agree with Shri Ramachandran. But, make yourself sure that the consignee address is received in writing from the buyer along with his order. If so, issue delivery challan in the name of the buyer making a mention of the name "Through" whome he wants delivery. You can enclose copy of delivery challan along with the invoice.
