Employee Bond

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 23 October 2009 This query is : Resolved
I am ready to pay the bond money but the company I am joining wants my current company to give me on a company letterhead that I paid this money. However, my current company refuses to give me this. Is this legal.

You pay by a cheque or D/D with a covering note. It should be ample proof of your payment.

dd or cheque it shall definitely show payment on your part but how shall you obtain its acknowledgment on the letterhead of earlier company shall be available which is required in your case so I suggest leave that company by leaving a registered letter to the effect that I am ready to pay bond amount as and when asked. You join new company and if demand is raised then pay and it shall be a proper acknowledgment.

CHEQUE/DD ITSEKF IS PROOF OF YOUR PAYMENT.
