In Dec 2011 some retired officers of Banks have been recruited as director,RSETI.In the add for the post as well as in appointment letters it was mentioned that-Remunation payable would be; last pay drawn while in service less basic pension or Rs 25000 which ever higher.But the bank after,one month of joining unilaterally ammended as: remunaration payable : last pay drawn less basic pension or Rs 30000 whichever less.As a result some directors are getting remunaration half of others due to such change in fixation.Some are getting 16000 while others 30000.Further TA facility is also not uniform for all the directors rather it is on the basis of post held by them while in service.Is it lawful?How a remedy?

This is an illegal. Terms of the appointment cannot unilaterally changed by management after one month of joining over post.
You issue a legal notice and thereafter approach CAT.

equal rank equal pay means same computation formula for fixation of pension see 1983 s.c. const. bench dec.

amending the terms of appointment after one month of appointment without the consent of the appointees is illegal.
