My organisation has less than 10 employees. Basically a technical service provider. I am providing services to Ltd companies. Now one of the company had asked to comply ESIC PF formalities. Our engineers salary range from 12500 to 35000/-
If a organisation is exempted from ESIC PF registration can a client ask for compliance. All my engineers are covered by Star Health insurance
Pl give the expert opinion on PRIORITY as my work has been abruptly stopped by the client

The principle or your client is concerned apprehending it may not get affected.
Your dealings with client or principle are your private matter.
Either convince the client or find other client or agree to T&C of client.
Same is true for other clients.

Your client is right.
You may be having less than 10 employees but not your client.
If your client has more than 20 employees he has to make sure that PF&ESI of all of them is deposited and is more than 10 then atleast ESI is deposited in respect of all employees. This includes the daily wagers and outsourced employees provided by you.
Your client unless ready to face penalty/imprisonment should never agree with you as suggested by Mr Kumar Doab.

I agree with expert advise of Mr. Sudhir Kumar.
If your client has asked you for ESIC / PF registration you will have to comply irrespective of the fact that the number of employees is less than 20.
