It depends on the court. it cannot be foretold. Teh court may issue a fresh summons and adjourn the hearing for another date.

Generally if the respondent is absent on at least 3 dates,ex-perte divorce is given,if the summons has been properly served.

I think we should also obtain a decree in astrology as degree of law is not sufficient for us to reply the queries.

no time limit is there. It depends upon the discretion of the court.

Dear Mittumit
when a person filed a petition for divorce and the opposite party is not interested to appear before the court or the opposite party is not ready to fight the case, first summons will be issued just after filling the petition, after that if the summon is return unserved without any reason the court passed an order for re-issuance of summons, after that if the summons again return un-served the court can pass an order for publication, if the petitioner filed an application u/O 5 rule 20 Cpc. after that the court passed an ex-party order or passed an expaerty divorce against the opposite party. there is no time limits
feel free to call

It is not necessary that Divorce be given : "can my wife get ex partee divorce if i doesnt attend any hearing in court..."
It is possible that "DIVORCE PETITION BE REJECTED/ DISMISSED" on the ground that it does not prove any valid ground for decree of Divorce, in her evidence & petition.
I know such cases, I enclosed herewith one judgement
