I got call from Shaha Finlease Pvt Ltd. & got letter by mail which has the only my card no no outstanding details.
I told them i have written to bank for details as the letter is not signed it says it is computer generated letter.
After getting the authenticity check from bank i will pay the money what i have used in this card as this card is 6-7 year old & my CIBIL report don't show any outstanding for Standard chartered bank
But they are not listening to it just calling again & again & also calling my relatives & friends saying that i told them to collect money from him/her which i don't
so in order to protect my friends relatives what should i do.
I told them once i get details i will pay the money actually used but they don't listen these people even don't tell their name and calles again & again i frustrated can local police will help me.

Yes lodge the complaint to the police stating the phone numbers from which the call are generating.

Probably the collection agents dont have the updates from the bank. Inform the banker regarding this and ask them to stop this. Even after a reasonable time this disturbance is being continued, you make a police complaint.

i agree with Arunagiri...its better to aproach the bank 1st and then proceed with other complaints, since once the legality is started it will usually pro-long and off-course CIBIL & other credit rating will take a hit.

In credit card old pending cases, it is useless to approach the bank. Approach the banking ombudsman. You may also ask for the address of the caller and to send a written letter for demand with details. If still they don't desist from calling you, just lodge a cmplaint with the police for harrassment by the calling agent.

I agree with Expert Arunagiri. Even if the Bank does not give you details this will be a piece of evidence in your favour. Then you may adapt the actions suggested by Mr.Dhingra.

You send a letter to the Recovery Agency by Regd. Post +AD, with copy similarly to the bank, stating that you dont have privity of contract with the agency and hence if such harassment continued any more, you would be contrained to initiate civil and criminal proceeding against them. You also add that Hon'ble Supreme Court had in numerous cases passed strong strictures, against such banks, who used muscle power of recovery agents, for collecting the dues.
