There is no provision in executing the POA in front of the first class magistrate. If you want to register, you have to present it before the sub registrar.

Any POA with relation to immovable property can be registered with sub registrar only.
For other purposes it can be even notarized.
It is not clear why you are supposed to make it before any first class magistrate.
Although a provision of deposit of POA with
High Court or District Court is laid down in section 4 of the Powers of Attorney Act, 1882.
SDM/ADMs would be first class magistrate.

Thank you for all your replies...
The clause says "The authorisation by a manufacturer to his authorised agent in India will be documented by a POA. The POA shall be executed and authenticated before First Class Magistrate"....So does this mean POA to be executed at Registrar office???...Pls advise...

The author has nowhere told that the First class magistrate means judicial magistrate and almost all experts have replied accordingly.
The clause is accurate. All Teshsildars/SDMs etc. has also the power of Magistrate of First Class and they also use their seal and power accordingly so get it countersigned therefrom as required.

In U.P. Tehsildars are not First class Magistrate.SDM/ADMs are and they have been told already.
