Is it true that, if you get convicted for drinking in Gujarat state (under section 66(1)(b) of Bombay prohibition act, 1949), for the first time and you are given a penalty by the court, will you be barred from applying in government jobs such as judicial services or any other civil services? or are there any other repercussions of the same?

1. No, repercussion will follow since this offense is not cognizable and the court has already imposed monetary penalty and there has been no imprisonment.
