If you are not interested to claim the status of reservation, you are free to do it and apply under general category for which there is no need for change of caste. Status in the society nowadays is not linked to the caste system nowadays. The good work we for the society will give you the status. There is no provision in the law for change of caste. If you are so desperate, do not reveal your caste to the society. Nobody will force you to reveal your caste on every occasion. You cannot change your parents. Likewise you cannot change your caste. Are you leaving your parents if they are not of your status?

If you are going to any competition exam, and your numbers are higher, then automatically, reservation's benefit would not given to you.

dont tell to start using Gen category while applying for jobs.. because I'm already on it.. So instead of this I want to be accepted as a higher caste.. I dunno exactly about the flaws in laws but I know there is. . Money is the ultimate source.. This thing is still in practice, no matter how good u do for the society they will still consider u as a 'neech' cause u basically belong to a lower caste.. I dont want my next generation to be discriminated.. So tell me the possibilites, and if u dont someone else will help me and will be rewarded :)

If your next generation refuses to take reservation then nobody can force them.
Do not be so anxious to change caste when without it you can live like normal citizens who are deprived of reservations.

If you think that you can buy anything out of your money, why did you visit this place, go and do it without anybody's advise. Dont ever think that you are very smart. There is no law to change your caste but there is an option to go by general category when a choice is given for reserved status.
