Two 161 statements of a witness

In a 498A case there r two 161 statements were recorded by 2 different I.Os.. 2nd statement is with high improvements. Charge sheet filed matter is on trial.. Which one has to be considered??? Any citation???

Statement recorded under section 161 Cr.P.C before the Police Officer, has no evidentiary value, its just the accused/defence or even prosecution use to cross or check the witnesses when he/she appears in the court for recording his/her statement in the criminal prosecution. The two different statements of same person recorded u/s 161 Cr.P.C will help to check the witness in the court during his/her evidence stage.

The statement of accused recorded by IO can be used for collateral evidence to prove prosecution story despite the fact that the subsequent statement recorded is improved.
