Unable to get Relliveing letter.

Hi Experts,

I was working in a small s/w firm in India [Bangalore]. Due to some personal obligation i had to join another firm in my native place , so i resigned from previous company , the company is having a policy of serving 2 months of notice period or buy back that period , i was ready for buying back the notice period , but the company guess abused me and dint gave me the reliving letter . now what should i do ? please suggest.

You will now never may be able to join the previous company which you ha left.

You serve a notice intending to purchase notice period and seeking to have your due relieving letter. On its reply perform your part first and then expect. If you fail to get the desired results then file a civil suit.

Have you clearly mentioned in your resignation letter the clause relating to paying the notice period.

Is the letter been acknowledged by the company.If yes, the HR or concerned officer has acknowledged the letter of resignation, and they are now not giving you the relieving letter, in that event you can either write a reminder letter or join the new company showing them the acknowledgment.

You can also file a suit, but advisable.

Inform your new company about the said problem. They could write to your earlier company for the relieving letter.
