Vigilance manual

In Vigilance Manual book, there are mentions such as B(40), C(23)...and so on in the side. Kindly help me to know what it stands for?

One does not know which Vigilance Manual you are referring to.
In any case, it is not a legal query.
But yet, one can make a wild guess - the alphabet B or C may refer to Chapters in the Manual and numerals 40 or 23 may refer to the item no. within the chapter.

Can you refer Chapter No., Chapter name. and para No. of the Vigilance manual and edition of the book for reference and reply to your query?
